A Self-made Doom
13:33
|
|||
From this Earth we distorted, it shall come,
The day when we’ll all finally die.
We’ll have to face the consequences of our blindness.
Slain by our own mother Earth.
We have doomed ourselves,
By using and destroying this place for too long.
A corrupting waste is what’s left of us.
The home that gave us birth will blow us out,
We perverted our home...
Nature will destroy its virus,
And allow itself to be healed.
From this Earth we distorted, it shall come
The day when we’ll all finally die.
We’ll have to face the consequences of our blindness,
Slain by our own mother Earth.
The end of our time.
If our time is nearing to an end,
Why should we keep on living a meaningless life?
What difference does it make if we leave today?
If we are doomed to disappear,
Why should we wait?
I shall spread my wings to free the Earth from myself,
To join a place where there is no up, no down, no centre.
A journey to a realm doomed by endless night,
An infinite, blank and unknown ground,
To which I shall rise.
Only through death, shall we redeem ourselves.

Withering Beauty
07:58
|
|||
Listen to the songs of the birds.
Behold the art made by the clouds dancing in the sky.
Feel the caress of the wind.
Let yourself be carried by the beauty of the untouched world.
Majestic and beautiful is the Earth
Yet her wrath towers upon our greed
That led us to take for granted
More than what we even needed.
So much has been destroyed, yet we are so new
Children already too old to retrieve what we’ve lost
Do you remember the colours of the autumn leaves?
The smell of the grass in the morning rain?
How small do we feel in the shadows of the mountains?
How powerless we stand next to the sea...
Relentless noises to mute the bird’s voices
We yell our songs
In a deafening disharmony.
Squares have replaced the beauty of chaos.
Lines have covered wavy paths.
Nature is no longer part of our life,
We’re no longer part of nature.
It has become a foreigner to us.
We set a border between us and the world.
Majestic and beautiful is the Earth
Yet her wrath towers upon our greed
So much has been destroyed, yet we are so new
Children already too old to retrieve what we’ve lost
May the beauty of chaos find back its place upon its throne
May the birds sing again
May their voices echo in a world devoid of us

Weeping World
07:56
|
|||
We were a perfect creation.
Potential wasted by the greed that corrupted our souls
And led us to a path of hate we’ve walked for so long
We even hate ourselves.
Creatures born to grow in nature
Every being is part of a whole,
A circle that evolves and perfects itself for the greater good.
But we drifted apart from this harmony,
Still hidden amongst them we built an altar of destruction.
We perverted our home...
It’s now too late
We won’t heal in time
It’s now too late
To save mankind
We’re left to be witnesses of our own fate,
Waiting helpless for our end.
And this Earth we distorted, shall wear the mask of our death.
We perverted our home...
My tears join those of this weeping world
As I understand the woes we inflicted upon it
From this pain will grow its strength that shall sweep away
All of those who are guilty
Our extinction will be our redemption
Mother Earth, free us from ourselves,
Free yourself from us.
Free yourself from us.

The Unbearable Guilt
10:41
|
|||
Here on my arm lies a mark that I made,
The last act of a lonely human.
There was too much hiding in me, it's now time for me to leave.
It has always been here, inside of me, painful and invisible.
I can feel it possessing me: The Guilt
I did so much yet so little.
So much has been destroyed, so much has been ruined
Because of our selfishness.
For too long it has obsessed me,
Obscure thoughts built in nothingness.
I'm now waiting for the Guilt to swallow me,
To blind me with its shadow, to deafen me in its silence,
So I can finally forget everything.
I shall join the world of night, out of memory, out of time,
Where no warmth, no light can reach me.
I shall forget this unbearable guilt.
I shall forget the birds, the trees, the mountains,
Even though I feel like I’ve forgotten these so long ago.
As life is leaving my fragile body,
As I can’t move anymore,
Each drop of my blood falls from my arm like a relief.
I am at last no longer part of this destruction.
Now as my pain slowly fades
A thorn remains in my broken crown.
May they raise my cross as an example
Of the path to follow.
For my death saves nothing but myself
Until all walk the same path.
So join me in nothingness.
From this Earth we distorted, it shall come
The day when we’ll all finally die.
May our extinction be our redemption
Mother Earth, free yourself from mankind.
